Blackwell Plastics manufactures numerous components and enclosures for manufacturers of industrial electronic devices. Products range from custom engineered connectors for harsh environments to lighting components, cases and enclosures for industrial electronics, conductive plastics and plastics that provide EMI and RFI shielding protection. In many cases these components are engineered to meet demanding operating environments such as high temperatures, exposure to corrosive chemicals, exposure to U.V. and handling in industrial and consumer environments. We leverage the engineering resources of global material manufacturers to help in the development of unique resins that are custom colored to match mating components and blended with unique engineering properties.
Many of our customers products are listed with U.L. and are certified compliant to RoHS standards for restricting the use of hazardous substances in the products. RoHS Regulations implement EU Directive 2002/95 which bans the placing on the EU market of new electrical and electronic equipment containing more than agreed levels of lead, cadmium, mercury, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyl (PBB) and polybrominated diphenyl ether (PBDE) flame retardants.
